. . . From Jewels Heart
“This is the world where the artist finds all his dreams come true, where the painter and the poet realize their ambition, where genius has full power of expression, where the repressions of earth are swept away and all gifts and talents are used in the service of one another... You have not tasted the joys of the world of spirit. There is nothing in your world of matter with which you can compare the life of the spirit, freed from the trammels of the flesh, escaped from the prison of the body of matter, with liberty to go where you will, to see your thoughts take shape, to follow out the desires of your heart, to be freed from the troubles of money.” ~ Silver Birch
Seeing behind closed eyes in the darkness is where light resides. It's from behind the curtain, from beneath the veil, where truth lies hidden. All is revealed to sincere seekers.
There's a passion, a nudge, a push . . . this thirst for more. From where does this come?
This deep inner knowing, the feelings of strange familiarity . . . the longing, the need . . . or calling . . . responds to devotion, effort, and sincere intention.
It's with an open heart that we discover true joy.
Surrendering to the unknown . . .to uncertainty . . . depends upon trust, courage, strength, faith, hope . . . tapped from within.
Knowledge is simply ideas, beliefs are just accepted thought -- acquired from without.
Knowledge is not wisdom. For wisdom comes only through personal experience.
Each of us is born a unique thinker, blessed with innate powers and unlimited potential for realizing and unleashing creativity and Divine light.
Opening up our thinking, expressing our being, comes from the heart. It is with the heart that we awaken and allow creation to come forth.
Creating is soul expression. Life begs us to find creative expression; healthy, truthful, healing expression that's in the best interest of all with harm to none. For without this, we suffer.
Creating requires pause, gentle reflection, detaching from the busyness of the world, taking time to sit quietly -- communing with nature, to take in the bird's song, to let down and feel our breath -- to get in touch with our body – to experience energy.
Space reminds us that we have a body that is always communicating with us.
Quiet time is a gift -- a gift to be free. To be sad, to be alone, to be no-thing. It is in quiet solitude that we may safely reacquaint with the soul -- to gain self understanding -- to open the heart and to notice the Self.
Wisdom shines forth through persistent tapping, consistently questing to reach boundless inner intelligence, to awaken and align with truth. Wisdom is truthful expression -- organic leadership unforced, without pedantic display -- authenticity that motivates, empowers, and inspires.
Greatness acts quietly, humbly in the backdrop, operating with humanity's best interest -- with heart, without expectation for acknowledgement, praise, or material gain.
Greatness comes through preparation, with sacrifice and pain. Pain is an indicator -- a sign post, necessary for growth, a conveyor for what words lack. Suffering is unreleased pain long ignored. For we feel pain when the body and mind are out of alignment, when there's a dysfunctional relationship with the present. Pain is our protector -- buying time -- ensuring preparedness.
The clever mind keeps us stuck, out of alignment with the present moment, separated in un-ease –as we lack readiness. “But when we are space consciousness, aware of being aware, we are freed from identification with form, which is ego, and there arises within us a sense of oneness with the whole and with our Source.” (Eckhart Tolle)
The breath, or Holy Spirit, reintroduces the mind to the body and invites present-moment awareness. The breath freshens and alerts the egoic mind with bodily awareness for releasing what the fearful mind has created. The mind can be helpful when assisted by a clean heart who keeps ego disciplined, in check. The heart, more powerful and more reliable than the thinking brain, opens and allows us to experience "the present."
