Who Is In My Temple?
In the darkness of meditation I fill myself with Thy presence, Thy light, Thy omniscience, Thy powerfulness. As my mind sweeps through the halls of my past, I give thanks and praise to all who have touched my life. I sweep all the way up to the present moment, thanking God for all that I've encountered, for all who have touched my life in some small way: the people, the places I've dwelled, the beauty that surrounds me: the mountains, the seas, the wildlife, for all of God's beauty in nature, I send love and thanks. Rarely do we find time and energy to bless all that has happened, for all that is, and for all that will be. Today I take time to honor all things, animate and inanimate, and to send love and thanksgiving.
Thoughts fuel me. Thoughts feed me. Thoughts color my energy system. I am a mental, physical, and spiritual being. My mind feeds my body. It's important to be conscientious of what I put into my body. Chemically, I must fuel my body. I also need fresh air, fresh water, proper breath for taking in oxygen, and lots of sunlight to nourish my cells. Mentally, I need God consciousness, to think positively, to nurture my body with God's love and cosmic energy. The mental body feeds the spiritual body. My spirit soars with God always on my mind and in my heart.
In humble darkness, in the recesses of my mind, I see light, flickering light offering hope, eternity, everlasting life. I chant quietly, clearing the cobwebs from my mind, wiping away the darkness.
I recall an earlier chant from this morning's service. Who is in my Temple?
All the doors do open themselves; All the lights do light themselves, Darkness, like a dark bird, flies away, oh, flies away.
In my meditative revelry I swirl in warm light, drenched in God's loving grace filled with complete gratitude and surrender. Loving thoughts and images swirling within my mind, comforting my body, and energizing my soul. These thoughts send feelings of rest, reassurance, light, grace, thankfulness, serenity, home, comfort, joy, bliss, center, groundedness, peace, goodness, compassion, kindness, divine guidance, purpose, acceptance, laughter, family, creation, purity, beauty, hope, space, healing, forgiveness, stillness, prosperity, fertility, nurturance, levity, gratitude, openness, heartfelt soul Truth. So full of the thought of God.
Thank You for the peace You provide. Thank you for Your love and healing light, Your hopefulness that rings throughout my mind, body, and soul. Thank You for empowering me with Your beauty, love, grace, power, and trust in all things.
Thank You for being in my temple. Always.
Om Peace Shanti Amen
