Spacious Presence. No judgement. Complete Presence with loving acceptance to whomever is in front of me. This is my challenge. This is my work. It is easy to escape into BEING, to hide in meditation or to distract myself with chores. Finding balance of being in the world with other beings is the act of being HUMAN. I must learn to balance the human aspect with my longing for being. So I ask You, God, Jesus Christ, Paramahansa Yogananda, the Angels, Saints of All Religions, the Blessed Mother and All Who Have Come Before me to please guide me. I am open to receive. And so it is.
Spaciousness. The vast spaciousness of no-thing – This joy and bliss can be earned here on Earth. However it takes great effort and continual awareness. You must learn to find distance from form, distance from the little self that gets so attached to its story, to the drama, to the worries and smallness of form. Only with awareness of your true Essence, of your higher Self, will you be pulled away from the suffering of the ego.
But child, readiness is a must. When you have suffered enough, you will be ready. Suffering is the motivator for finding something greater, for wanting change, for the seeking for more that is not material. Material accumulation, without awareness, only brings suffering. It only covers or veils the soul. You must work to strip away the layers of conditioning. And it starts with Presence, complete surrender in each moment.
For it is in every moment that life gives you exactly what you need. Do not spend time running away from the moment. You may run away from your true essence by staying trapped in the mind; blaming others, blaming yourself. You may do so by worrying about the future, “What if I lose my job?” “
What if I get sick?” A life filled with “what ifs . . . “ is not anchored in faith, is not focused and intentional.
God gives you a gift, called the “present” in order to awaken to joy and to pain. In the awakened state, you can accept whatever comes your way as necessary for growth, for spiritual evolution. For within each moment, without judgment, but with total acceptance, you will find the help needed to become more aligned so that there is flow. When someone, like your husband, blows up at you and becomes reactive and angry, instead of reacting, just try to stay present. If you can sincerely listen, empathize with him and be fully present, without judgement, his anger will subside. If you allow someone to blow steam, they will blow it all out and eventually he must look around to assess himself. If you jump in too quickly, he may project blame onto you.
So, this is your work. Trust the Divinely ordered Universe, staying present in the moment. Allow space to receive guidance so that the words will come just at the right moment. If the words don't come, something else will. Divine intervention is quite magical. Stay fully present so not to miss the magic.
And so it is.
