​God's Rhythm
All that I've known up until this time
Writing in search of a rhythm a rhyme
No rhythms nor rhymes will ever help me know
Just how to make sense of this tiring earthly show
In search of truth for answers I'm without
Hoping for a bigger plan no doubt
The unpaved road is long and travels are rough
Patiently awaiting Him to offer enough
His strength His patience His wisdom His love
Praying He sends from up above
Never pushy or demanding just waiting instead
Calling to Him as I lay down my head
I hope He is pleased I've chosen to turn to Him
Willing to hand it all over and be forgiven
His love I feel brings a great smile to my face
Promising to reward me with blessings and grace
While the road will always be a bit uncertain, twisty and bumpy
Riding is calmer, joyfully brighter, when He's along side me
God just wants my love in exchange for my worries
Helping me to slow down my hurry
Knowing God has my back is all I need
My rhythms and rhymes in his time He'll lead
