Romans 12:6–8
6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
God's Grace
I find space and stillness to retreat, to breathe and ask God for guidance and direction. I use will power for sitting still long enough to quiet my mind's chatter. With deep, long inhalations and powerful exhalations, I send out all negativity and stress. With effort and intention, I go deeper into that place of calm peace, into dark retreat.
Emptying my self, I completely surrender to Him and feel His warmth and peace wash over me. In the quiet I hear what I would normally overlook: a bird singing in the distance, a plane flying high above me, the quiet snoring of my dog, and cars zipping by . . .
As I ask for direction, I pray the Lord's Prayer and find myself imagining white light. I allow that light to enter in from my crown, passing slowly, lovingly, powerfully down into my body for bathing and healing my physical being.
Newly empowered, charged by His light, I send loving energy to my children, husband, dog, parents, brothers, their wives and children, friends, & neighbors. As I send prayers and light, I feel warm energy filling my body. I feel capable of healing the world.
I ask for healing and feel empowered to heal. I ask for direction and feel empowered to direct. I ask for strength and feel more able to empower others with strength. In the asking I receive the ability to give more of myself. In the asking I receive Him. I receive His power and realize that I AM powerful, capable, worthy. I AM love. I AM Him. I AM.
So I dive deeply. I Strip myself of self and ask for what I need. Through Him I discover everything I need lies deeply tucked within.
